THE POWER IS IN THE PLANTS

Our current health is in crisis due to poor food choices and lifestyle behaviours. Garden of Vegan’s nutritional philosophy is based on a wholefood plant-based diet, which is the one diet scientifically proven to promote longevity, reverse, treat and manage chronic lifestyle diseases and illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, some cancers, Alzheimer's Disease, obesity, auto-immune conditions and many more.

A plant-based diet is more likely to produce good health and to reduce sharply the risk of heart problems, cancer, diabetes, oesteoperosis, gallstones, and kidney disease.” -Dr T. Colin Campbell, PhD

We all know how powerful our day to day choices are in shaping our overall health and wellbeing. Our knowledge, awareness and actions in diet and lifestyle have an immediate and long term effect on us. Adopting the plant-based lifestyle has been proven to have a positive impact on our health, our gene expression and will help to improve and in some cases prevent and reverse chronic lifestyle disease and illness.

The key to turning on health-promoting genes and turning off disease-promoting genes is in your hands.

At Garden of Vegan we know that we are all on our own individual health journey. The founding directors have each individually overcome their own health concerns through comprehensive lifestyle changes, with the priority being embracing the power of plants. As human beings, the body can adapt and tolerate dramatic and adverse conditions. Aside from our basic physical needs of clean air, water, shelter and sanitisation the quality of the foods we consume is paramount.

To put it simply, we have over complicated all things diet related.

“A good diet is the most powerful weapon we have against disease and sickness.”

    T. Colin Campbell, PhD

We have reached a health epidemic when it comes to our poor food choices and lifestyle behaviours, specifically the dangerous consumption of processed and refined foods. These unnatural and consumer driven choices are directly linked to numerous diseases and illnesses. We have overcomplicated food processing, manufacturing and farming.

Our addiction to sugar is killing us.

And let’s not forget the environment!
Our need to consume is not only killing us but is killing the environment around us, making it hard to protect and preserve our world for future generations.
The scientific evidence today points strongly towards a whole food, plant-based lifestyle.

A plant-based diet has been link to helping the ageing process, increased vitality and longevity, assists is healthy weight loss and weight management, decreases the chances of contracting an autoimmune disease, cardiovascular disease, hormonal/endocrine issues, osteoporosis, certain types of cancers and helps improve mental health.

The science has also shown that there is nothing you can get from meat or animal products that you can’t get from plants. Think about the basic principles of photosynthesis. Plants are the natural source of nutrients. For example, animals eat plants to obtain their nutrients. omnivores would then eat the animal who gets its nutrients from the plants. The way the omnivore gets its nutrients is indirectly through the animal due to the plants it ate. So why go directly to the source? Why not skip the animal and just eat the plant? Plants are always the original source of nutrients. You are what you ate, ate right?

Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables is the best source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that the body can get. To put it simply, food is information that can upgrade your biological software, so your body can function at its optimum.

    So eat more plants!

“I know of nothing else in medicine that can come close to what a plant-based diet can do. In theory, if everyone were to adopt this, I really believe we can cut health care costs by seventy to eighty percent.” Dr. T. Colin Campbell
