    Organic Coconut Sugar

    13 Reviews

Coconut Sugar also known as coconut nectar or coconut blossom sugar, has a natural golden colour, a sweet aroma and toffee-like flavour.

It is the sweet sap of coconut flower blossoms, from the green coconut palm tree. The sap is boiled, set into a hard block, dehydrated and crushed, made into crystalline granules.

It is minimally processed to ensure it retains it’s mineral content and uses 1/5th of the amount of water that sugar cane does, whilst producing 50% more sugar per sqm.

This organic coconut sugar has a delicious toffee or caramel-like flavour and can be substituted for other sugars or sweeteners. It can be used in replace of white sugar, honey, maple syrup or agave in recipes. It is most commonly used in desserts, snacks and elixirs including coffee and tea.

Coconut sugar can be used the same as regular sugar.
It dissolves easily in water to make a sweet syrup and mixes well in raw treats, baked goods, hot elixir’s or any other recipe.

When used sparingly, coconut sugar is a good option to sweeten your recipes.
It can be added to tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. And is a great option to sprinkle on top of breakfast porridge, puddings and baked goods.

You can add it to your favourite curries, marinades, sauces, treats and baked goods like muffins, cookies, cakes and pastries.
