One of our founders got this recipe passed on to him in 2018 when he was visiting Brazil.

I loved the taste of the beans with rice, something I used to eat daily back in Brazil, however, it would be better if a little salad came with it or some cooked vegetables, just like in the photo of the dish. It was a big dish. It came with a little tomato salsa that disappeared in the dish. I had to force myself to eat it all, not because it didn't taste good, but because it was large and filling.


Tasty meal. I added some extra veg to accompany it & this fed two of us given the generous serves.

Bean Heaven!

I just LOVED this dish. The flavour of the black beans and mixed with the rice was so satisfying. I would just love some more vegetables worked into this one but definitely on my favourite list now every week.
