Placing an order

What is Garden of Vegan?

We are a meal delivery service providing 100% organic, whole-food, gluten & oil free and fully vegan meals. We work together and with a range of chef’s, nutritionists, doctors and other health professionals to create recipes and craft meals which are the supremely healthy, nutrient dense, full of complete protein & fibre and a wide range of essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes. We then deliver these delicious, nutrient-rich and fresh (We don’t freeze them: ever), straight to your door every week. We provide you with the best choice in best choice in health, simple convenience and delicious, mouthwatering flavour in every mouthful.

Can I choose my meals?

Of course! You can choose your favourite dishes, choose based on ingredients or explore any of the exotic international dishes we bring to our menu each month!

We offer a varied rotating menu of delicious meals that we add to each month, this menu also follows the seasons of Australia to ensure you are getting the freshest produce in its most nutritious state.

You can pick and choose your meals for each week from our menu.

Where are your meals cooked?

We are based in the beautiful sunny Gold-Coast, specifically in Burleigh. All our meals are cooked in our vegan-only Kitchen!

How do I sign up for Garden of Vegan?

1) Head on over to our home page 

2) Enter your email address and your postcode (the one where you want your food delivered!) in the available sign-up box*.
*If we cannot deliver to your post code, we will let you know at this stage. We can only deliver meals to certain areas of the country based on logistical restrictions from our carriers.

3) Choose the type of meal plan you want.

All of the meals you order will arrive in a single delivery each week. (You can change the number of meals you receive per week in your account!) You can see when your meals will arrive on our delivery page.

4) Select the meals you would like to receive in your meal box! The meals you choose here tell us about the types of meals you like and will be used by us to plan future menus for you, aside from the first weekly order of your subscription. You will be able to change the meals you receive every week, up to two weeks in advance, using your account. (We are always adding new meals, so you'll always have lots of great options to choose from!)

5) Complete the checkout process Here, you simply provide your personal contact information, your payment information, and your delivery address information. You can check our privacy policy here.

Is there enough protein in Garden of Vegan meal plans?

Yes! Every one of our meals is protein packed and contains a complete profile of essential amino acids. The protein in our meals is bioavailable, easily digestible plant-based protein; everything you need to build lean muscle, lose weight, fuel metabolic functions and stay energised. We use a varied assortment of plant-based protein sources such as quinoa, hemp seeds, tofu, tempeh, spirulina, nuts, chia seeds, beans, legumes, kale, a wide range of other seeds and much more.

Are your meals vegan?

Yes! Our meals are 100% plant-based and vegan.

Are your meals gluten-free?

Yes! All our meals are 100% gluten free.

Why are Garden of Vegan meals healthy?

Each Garden of Vegan meal is created around the science behind a organic, whole-food, plant-based diet. Every one of our meals are designed to be as healthy as possible. We use Australia grown organic produce to create perfectly balanced, protein packed meals. We carefully design our recipes to be nutritionally balanced, full of fibre, packed full of superfoods, vitamins, antioxidants, healthy fats, minerals and enzymes. You can find more information on each meal when you select it from our menu.

How do I reheat my meals?

Our personal favourite is in on the Cooktop: Empty your meal into a saucepan and heat on high until hot.

Microwave: Pierce the film lid, and heat for 3-4 minutes, depending on your microwave power

Oven: Place your meal into an oven-safe container and heat at 180degrees for 8-10 minutes

Is your packaging recyclable?

Here at Garden of Vegan we are conscious and aware of our impact on the environment. All our packaging is 100% recyclable and we focus minimising waste at every turn.Our packaging is also 100% BPA free.

We care about our planet, so you don’t have to worry about our packaging or processes. We package our delivery boxes with non-toxic ice packs and 100% recyclable insulation.! The gel inside the ice packs is non-toxic, water soluble, and safe for septic systems and the plastic encasing for them is recyclable. The plastics we use for our actual meal containers, however, are completely recyclable, as well as reusable.

Packaging - How are my meals individually packaged?

All our meals are packaged in microwavable containers with a plastic film. The trays are microwave-safe, do not release BPA, or other harmful chemicals when heated, and are made with a manufacturing process that is 30% cleaner than other plastic manufacturing. This type of plastic can be directly recycled, significantly reducing its carbon footprint and ensuring it does not end up in the landfills or oceans.

How long do your packages stay fresh after shipment?

We design our packages to withstand two full days of shipment, plus four in the warmer months and eight hours in the cooler months after delivery. Please note, when you receive your Garden of Vegan package, it is not unusual for your ice packs to be partially melted. plus fours in the warmer months and eight hours in the cooler monthsYou would just want to make sure that the meals are cool to the touch, which is the tell-tale sign that all is well!

Once you have received your meals, they will have their individual expiry dates on the back.

How do you keep my meals fresh?

We use a specific type of modified atmospheric packaging in your deliveries to keep your food zesty and fresh. Modified atmosphere is where the composition of the internal atmosphere of a package is modified to improve the longevity of your meals. In order to improve the shelf life, modified atmosphere packaging can extend the practical shelf life of fresh foods by 200% or more compared to packaging in air.

Some of our snacks (not our meals) are also snap frozen to lock in nutrition and keep your food at it's optimal freshness.

The modification process lowers the amount of oxygen (O2), moving it from 20.9% to 0% in order to slow down the growth of aerobic organisms and the speed of oxidation reactions. This process is safe and allows food to last longer without the use of preservatives.

We also keep your food fresh using custom insulation and non-toxic ice packs.

Can I freeze the meals?

Yes you can! - Although we do recommend eating the meals fresh, as they last for 6-7 days from the day you receive them, you certainly can freeze them if you want to extend their lifespan.

Do I need to be home to receive my meals?

Not at all! You do not need to be home for your Garden of Vegan delivery! The third party carriers we use will leave our packages at your door without a signature required to ensure that the box is delivered in a timely manner, since our meals are perishable.

What time of the day will i receive my meals?

The time when your meals are delivered can vary and depending on many circumstances, as well as how many packages they have to handle and when they’ll be servicing your area. The delivery time for your meals could therefore be earlier in the day or as late as the early evening. Nevertheless, please know that we design our packages to withstand 2 full days of shipment, plus four in the warmer months and eight hours in the cooler months, either way, your food will arrive fresh!

When do I receive my meals?

We deliver between 6am - 6pm on the day specified for your area, this is based on your delivery address.

managing your subscription

How do I make changes to my current order?

To make changes to your order -

  1. Visit your Account page.
  2. Select "View Subscription" on the subscription you would like to update.
  3. Select "Update Items" - please note the delivery date & cut-off date for the order.
  4. Update the meal selections. Click "Update Box"

* All meal selections for orders recurring after the changed order will be updated automatically.

How do I add more meals?

  1. Visit your Account page.
  2. Select "View Subscription" on the subscription you would like to update.
  3. Click "Upgrade / Downgrade"
  4. Select your new box size (note you must complete the process of meal selection from this point)
  5. Select your meals and click "Update Box"

How to cancel my subscription?

To cancel your meal subscription -

  1. Visit your Account page.
  2. Select "View Subscription" on the subscription you would like to update.
  3. Select "Cancel Subscription"
  4. PLEASE NOTE: You can pause your subscription indefinitely if you plan to order again in the future.


Can I order through NDIS?

We have just added a new feature on our website, where NDIS eligible participants can pay for the ‘food cost’ portion of their order. A tax invoice is provided to you, and also to your nominated Plan Manager, for the remaining balance to be paid. Once the balance has been paid by your NDIS Plan Manager, your order will be completed and added to our next cook run. We will stay in contact with you throughout to ensure it’s a smooth process.

What is the ‘food cost’ for NDIS customers?

A tax invoice is provided to you with a breakdown of the food cost, the preparation cost, and the delivery fee. Regardless of your box size, the food cost component is set at $3.85, including GST, per meal. This is the cost that you would be required to pay. The balance of the invoice includes the preparation cost, and the delivery fee, which can both be claimed from through your NDIS Plan Manager.

When will my meal box be delivered?

If you are on the NDIS, and choose to pay for your invoice in-full, you will be added to our next cook run, and your meal box will be delivered the following week. You can see when the cut-off for ordering and the next delivery day is through our Delivery Times page.

If you have selected to pay for the ‘food cost’ only portion of your invoice, your order will go into a ‘pending’ stage. Your order will stay in this stage until the balance of your invoice is paid for by your NDIS Plan Manager. When we have received payment for the balance, your order will be added to our next available cook run.

Are you a registered NDIS provider?

Not yet! - But we are working on becoming one. Although we are not an official registered NDIS Provider, we do have lots of customers who are on the NDIS and are benefitting from ordering our meals. NDIS Participants who have a Plan Manager, or a Self Managed Plan can receive a tax invoice with a breakdown of their food cost, preparation cost, and the delivery fee.
