    A green smoothie a day, may help keep the doctor away!

    Check out some of Garden of Vegans favourite plant-powered smoothies and juices to leaving you feeling satisfied and nourished all day.

    Our signature plant-based smoothies will nourish your cells whilst boosting your daily nutrient requirements.

    Instructions;
    Select a smoothie.
    Add all ingredients to a blender, NutriBullet, Vitamix or similar appliance.
    Blend on high for 10-15 seconds.
    Enjoy fresh!

    Smoothie Protocol;
    When drinking your smoothie we encourage you to sip it slowly and add in a chewing motion. You don't want to overwhelm the digestive system. A smoothie has a lot of contents which would take you a lot longer to eat if you were eating each item individually. Chewing helps send a message to your stomach preparing it for food which activates your digestive enzymes and releases acid needed to help digest, absorb and process the nutrients as best as possible.

    Smoothie Tips and Tricks;

    1. At the start of each week, peel and freeze enough bananas to get you through the week.

    2. Remove the peel from all citrus ingredients before blending

    3. Ginger and Turmeric skin is optional. We like to leave ours on.

    4. Due to handling we encourage a quick rinse of all fresh produce in filtered water before adding straight to your smoothie.

    5. Massage your kale before blending! Massaging kale has been said to help release some of its bitterness.

    6. Always pit dates

    7. Add the Behumane Smoothie Booster to your smoothie, for your daily dose of Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3, Iodine and Omega 3's.

    8. Only use certified organic produce to ensure no dangerous toxins are present in your smoothie! Remember, if its not certified, its not organic!

    9. Opt for seasonal where possible.

    We like to keep it simple.
    If in doubt you can mix and match using seasonal ingredients, so long as you have three things, something frozen, something green, something sweet and liquid of your choice.
    Example;
    1 Frozen Banana
    2-3 types of Greens
    1 type of seasonal Fruit
    Added sweetener is optional (Date, Maple, Stevia Leaves, Dried Fruit)
    1 tablespoon of BeHumane B12 SmoothieBooster
    2 cups of water or your choice of plant milk for an extra creamy flavour
